We are considering a switch to VMix from a hardware switcher/encoder. We typically run a Zoom session for video conferencing as well as local cameras and various inputs. The problem we have encountered is when we switch from any source to the zoom session as the main output we get the 'vortex' effect since we are sending the zoom source back to zoom. In our hardware switcher we can set two channels so for the zoom channel we never send the zoom source to the output. Seems like I need to have two VMix machines running separately, one for the main out to the Webcast CDN that gets the Zoom session, and the other VMix machine would be for the zoom production. I could probably run the VMix on the same machine as zoom. But if there were exceptions that could be applied to the outputs then that would make it easier. Anyone with a thought on this please? Thank you.

There are 4 output channels in vMix you can use with NDI, and thus send to Zoom.

You can use output 2-4 independently from output 1 and for example use one of the functions starting with SetOutput... to control the Zoom output, depending on your setup, either as shortcuts or as triggers.

See the output section at https://www.vmix.com/hel...utFunctionReference.html

Mix inputs are another option.

What you can do also with Zoom is right click on your video ( I think this can only be done when another person Joins the Zoom meeting) and do "Hide Self View" on the Zoom client. This will not hide it from anyone else that is apart of the Zoom call.
