Hello,

I wanted to report an problem which occurred when using two identical USB Hauppauge Live 2 devices simultaneously on Windows & 64bit running the latest vMix version. After loading the profile with two USB capture devices, the audio works only for one device, see the picture here: https://picasaweb.google...Pr7OT-WA?feat=directlink
At the same time when using each device independently, the audio works for both devices, also Windows Sound -> Recording devices displays incoming audio bar for both devices.

Please check if this issue can be fixed for the next release of vMix.

Thanks, this works.
However I am using Virtual Audio cable as an output device for vMix. This is because sometimes I want to be able to turn off computer speakers without affecting vMix sound mixing. And if I set the Virtual Audio cable as the default device under Windows Sound manager and also change vMix output to Default Direct Sound Device, I dont hear any sound through the speakers, which is a bit of a problem.

Basically I want to be able to:
1. turn on and off speakers without affecting vMix sound output
2. have a fixed vMix sound output device to be used with FMLE

Have you tried selecting the DirectSound Virtual Audio Cable device in the vMix settings?

This should be called something like "DirectSound: Line1 (Virtual Audio Cable)" instead of "Line1 (Virtual Audio Cable)"

Yes. I tried to select DirectSound: Line 1 (Virtual Audio Cable)
However, this produces no sound at all for any of the input devices selected.

I have tested using DirectSound: Line 1 (Virtual Audio Cable)
And then using two inputs and recording them in using the Line 1 audio input source.

This all appeared to work ok, but under Windows 7 to route the Line 1 to the speakers, in the sound control panel you will need to select the Line 1
option under Recording and go to Properties then select "Listen to this device" under the listen tab.

This should then route audio to both the speakers and the recording which is what you are looking for right?

That is exactly what I want, except I use VAC in FMLE, so that I can turn off speakers anytime.
Supposedly I have done everything according to your instructions, and this scenario worked for me before with one input device when using Default Audio Renderer: Line 1.
But still it does not work - the "line 1 " audio bar is not moving.

Which VAC version are you using? mine is 1.62

Have a look at the registry steps here:

They will fix the corruption that occurs when using a non directsound device.
Then the directsound vac output should work, I am using the latest version from the web site (4.10) http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
