Hi there,

Have seen other posts on the forum regarding problems with multiple midi devices connected where triggers and activators get a bit “confused”

The kind of solutions mentioned involve using additional programs such as MidiOx or Bome to reroute midi and back, but wondered if anyone had a better workaround that uses just vmix itself as am finding myself using many different machines and don’t want to keep having to install software solutions on these.

The midi problems seem to be that activators will not respond to specific midi channels but just send out to the Note or CC info. For example an activator on Midi Ch8, Note22 will send to Ch1 Note 22 as well which means multiple conflicts.

Hopefully there’s a workaround

Many thanks

P

I've encountered this using an X-Touch Compact and X-Touch Mini simultaneously.

Behringer has a free utility to readdress keys. There's a couple caveats though:

Merely changing the channel of a key or fader didn't help with activator conflict. So at that point it's a matter of finding notes, etc. that aren't used between the two.

The program has no effect on MC Mode. I run the Mini on MC Mode since banks have its own issues and I like how those A and B bank buttons turn into useful buttons in this mode. In my case, it meant making all the changes to the Compact.

Thankfully once you readdress things and get it working you won't have to deal with it again.

+1 here for ability to use multiple midi devices and have activators control work on each device without the other device conflicting.
