I know that tally lights have been discussed a lot in this forum, but I haven't yet found the solution to this specific need.

I'm preparing for my first fully remote production using SRT or Vmix-to-Vmix calls to send 4 camera feeds to a remote production/switching destination.

I'm trying to figure out how to do remote tally - such then when I switch to Camera-3 in my control center, camera 3's tally light goes on at the remote studio.

Am I correct in thinking that I (or more likely a developer) could create a script that could send commands to a remote Vmix (in the remote studio) to turn on the correct tally light for each remote camera when that camera is sent to output? I've successfully used smartphones on a local LAN tied to a local Vmix on the same LAN, but never on a WAN (Internet).

If that's not possible, can you recommend another approach that might work - possibly a cloud-based solution or remote http connection to each tally light?

Many thanks.

It's not really programming that is the problem. It's the configuration of your networks. You need to setup vpns to make this work properly I guess, but I'm not an expert at networks.
