I have two options when exporting a "franchise open" in my production ("Breaking News", etc). Either export it as an MP4 with the music ending right with the video. Or export it as an MOV or AVI with alpha so the music can play past the visual ending.

Issue is those alpha videos are much larger and take up more space on VRAM.

I'd like to be able to set a trigger to fade out X seconds after the transition in, so if the franchise open flashes to white... It'll fade back to preview with the music from the franchise open still playing underneath.

Sure, but it requires a second action of hitting fade transition. I know I want to fade EVERY TIME that element plays at 4 seconds in. I should be able to set a trigger and have it do it automatically.

Maybe trigger a white flashing GT title
Don't fully see what you are actually aiming at (franchise ??)

Typically in vMix there are more than ways to skin a ...

You can also use your "franchise open" as an Overlay: trigger the OverlayOut-function OnOverlayIn with a four seconds delay. You could also trigger a cut to preview while the overlay is playing, if necessary. That way you would use it like a Stinger.

That's probably the best solution @DMWKR. I hate setting my overlays to do anything other than cut but, in order to get the effect, I may have to. Thanks!
