With sports season having started, and no audiences allowed, there's a massive amount of livestreaming to be done. Is there any indication of vMix 24 being released? Improved irp is very much needed. It has been neglected in too many vMix releases and for too many months now. Looking forward to v24.

They decided to postpone the release of vMix 24 due to the increase demand on streaming due to Covid-19. Guess they did not want to release it in case there might be some issues with the new version. I've been waiting 6 months to upgrade to vMix 24, but looking into other options as I can no longer wait for vMix 24 to be released. Prefer no going to another option, but may have no choice.. Too many new users stuck at home not reading helpfiles or watching tutorial videos etc flooded the team with questions and technical problems for video chatting that it interfered with the time needed to focus on and finalize the update for which they currently would not have time to respond to the update support required.

Thanks gents and your input is similar to what vMix communicated well before summer. In a way, I understand that this is the time to really cash in on all the new attention & all the new users. At the same time, it is at least awkward that many months ago a working implementation of the new IRP (8 camera's, more flexible audio (much needed!!)) was shown, only now to have been postponed indefinitely, so with no release date set at all! This is not what I have bought 2 vMix licenses for ...
Hoping for the team to finally turn attention back to v24 and IRP. I was already disappointed with all the effort going to the Graphics Titler in v23, which to me was way less relevant than improved IRP. Let's go for v24 !

In the past vMix was very frequent with bug fixes and improvements. Much faster than other competitors. I think it's fair to allow them a bit time to work on V24. We all want the same reliable software that we love. Fastening and getting something unreliable and half way cooked isn't worth it from my point of view.

Very valid points. Some patience is always good. At the same time, competition is no doubt speeding up with the hugely increased commercial opportunities for livestreaming. With the summer break and lock downs being mostly over, we could really use an indication of the v24 release, even just a public beta. Then users can decide for themselves if they are willing to take the risk. vMix has done this before to great satisfaction. Now there is no commitment which is less and less acceptable. I'm still fully on board with the product, but times of great livestreaming interest can be no excuse for delaying certain improvements. Better yet, they should be all the reason for shorter time-to-market.

To be honest as much as I like Vmix in general, I feel their product is now starting to lag in some areas.
I watched their last Vmix monthly youtube fun time, and they talked about Phil Collins, Billy Ocean and bananas for half the show.
Nothing wrong with a little fun, but honestly it was quite frustrating.

Ha ha agreed. I'm still a fan, but as said, competition will ramp up. Also, no clear advice on which AMD laptop would be best, no clear advice on Advanced Optimus yes or no, and many little (and easy!) improvements in the GUI not happening, does make me wonder if the vMix team should consider expanding their staff. Great as the current team already is !

Thanks for the input; which thumbnails would you like to replace, and what would you like to replace them with ?

I'm desperately waiting for Dynamic Inputs, Functions and Values which are already implemented in v24. It would make our job so much easier for so many things with shortcuts in vMix, especially for vMixCall management (like PTT) and multiviews layouts !
Really hope we won't wait 'til next NAB for v24 release...

If the increased customer support workload is too much and is preventing growth of the company, HIRE PEOPLE to offload all that work!!

I think both VMIX and VMIX Team are fantastic. But its a good point, new features, new things are important, I think we have a lot of feausible "new feature request", so there is a space for the developing process. :)
Yes, I know, supporting the users is important thing, but we really looking forward V24 and new features, and we are ready to pay for the version upgrade, so come on, Martin, please allocate enough resources for this, and take our money. :)

Agreed. I haven't been able to watch them for years. I find the same with PTZOptics videos. Probably a lot of good information, but so much playing around and being funny to fiddle through. They should make a separate version just with the information. I remember years ago there was a tech show that stated Microsoft Office customers would request features that were already in the software, but they just didn't know about or couldn't find. Even the changelog sometimes could do with more details. Sometimes I need a real world example to show what they actually mean or how or why I would actually use it.
