How are you managing the clock(s)?
In my experience, this can be a fulltime distraction if having to do it manually.
Using a live camera shot with or without OCR software OR a device like Scorebot will help tremendously.
I would suggest using additional scoreboards for penalty clocks as opposed to a single scoreboard with hidden layers, essentially, an identical scoreboard with added timer for penalty, that way, when you transition to it, the penalty clock will appear as required.
In my case, I chose to use a live shot of the clock and placed cropped virtual copies appropriately onto my scoreboard.
Prior to that, I tried to manage the clocks manually, which as mentioned earlier, was a fulltime distraction that I could never master in a LIVE production (my clocks were never 100% in sync with the game clocks).

Hi ich habe für den Handball ein Scoreboard gebaut. da hast du ja auch Zeitstrafen etc.

alles mit dem vmix Controller gemacht.
