Can't stream directly to YouTube from vMix but can when using StreamYard

Hi there. I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting and feel like I'm lost. When streaming from vMix to YouTube I get errors from YouTube ("YouTUbe is not receiving enough video to maintain smooth streaming. As such, viewers will experience buffering") as well as errors in vMix's log ("[dshow @ 02ab7f20] real-time buffer [vMix Video YV12] [video input] too full or near too full (64% of size: 128000000 [rtbufsize parameter])! frame dropped!"). Using OBS I get the same error from YouTube. However, if I send vMix to StreamYard, it works flawlessly. My internet is 194Mbps down and 7.7Mbps up.
Because I get issues with OBS as ell, it seems like a computer/internet/YouTube speed issue, but then why would it work using StreamYard? Also, why am I getting the "buffer too full" error? I've tried on multiple computers on my home network with the same errors.
vMix to YouTube always starts with an "Excellent connection" (sometimes for 5 minutes, other times only 30-seconds) before it changes to "Poor").
I don't know what information is helpful for you to give me guidance but the stream settings I am using for YouTube are "H264 720p 2.5Mbps AAC 128kbps". StreamYard is simply taking vMix "virtual camera" as the source so I am not actually using streaming settings when using StreamYard.
Long story short, I would like to avoid StreamYard, but that seems to be the only way I can get it to work.
Thank you for any direction you can provide!
-Stephen

Don't know if this will help but I had the same problem along with CPU warnings which I found very strange, so I did the following.
In the 'Stream Settings', I selected H264 1080p 4.5mbps, AAC 128.bps and my CPU warning stopped and no errors from YouTube. All strange to me as I'm no expert on vMix but it worked, no idea why!
My internet speed is 210mbs download, upload 20mbs.

I don't know what this has to do with CPU errors, but I remember a forum discussion, where the talk was that Youtube returns error messages when streaming below 4.5Mbits.

Thank you both for your thoughts- I'm at a loss of what to try so I appreciate any suggestions to try. I'll report back. Thanks!

I just tried 4.5 and 6Mbps. It starts out great but then I get the warning about not having enough video. I'm testing on my editing system in my home office, so the PC is pretty powerful (not a laptop). I don't know anything about video data limiting on the network but it is a Cisco network that's maintained by an IT company, so I'll reach out to them to be sure that's not an issue. Am I correct in assuming that is it was a network throttling issue that it would also throttle anything going to StreamYard?
FWIW, here's the info from YouTube:
8:06 AM Error YouTube is not receiving enough video to maintain smooth streaming. As such, viewers will experience buffering. 8:05 AM Stream is healthy Stream health is excellent.
Thank you, -Stephen

Cisco managed rang a bell. Are you also using a Cisco ATA firewall. That might have difficulties with streaming data.

I'm having some success right now after changing the YouTube setting from "Low Latency" (which I believe was the default) to "Normal Latency". I haven't had an issue with it "receiving enough video" (except when I switch from video to a still frame) since making that change. But "Low Latency" was selected when StreamYard was working, so StreamYard was sending a feed that YouTube liked more for some reason.
In any case, it does seem to be working so I'll do some more testing over the week and see what I find out.
Thanks,
-Stephen

I'll specifically ask what kind of firewall there is when I speak with my IT guy. I do know I have a Meraki subscription which I think is a firewall, but that's outside of my knowledge. Thanks! -Stephen

I am getting the same error. This error barely started yesterday. Originally Posted by: Drywater Hi there. I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting and feel like I'm lost. Have you checked to see what your latency settings are in YouTube? Changing from "Low Latency" to "Normal Latency" helped me so I'd be curious to know if that was a true fix for me or if it was a coincidence. I do know YouTube (and Facebook) do sometimes just have issues but it doesn't explain why Streamyard worked fine when it was my same computer uploading the same video feed.

Still having the same issues. It's weird that using Streamlabs OBS I get no issues whatsoever. I think vMix should look into this.
