Greetings Friends,

To start off, I'm having trouble with my Activators staying lit and behaving consistently on my APC mkII controller.

I am working on fairly involved vMix show being run remotely on AWS servers, and I'm using the APC and am about to integrate a Stream Deck XL. I was having great luck setting up a huge amount of shortcuts and activators on the APC and my normal keyboard. We were connecting to the servers using Parsec (remote desktop)+ ZeroTier (VPN) + Virtual Here (USB device connectivity). It took some tinkering to set up, but it was working great for me on one vMix AWS instance, and less so for my colleague's vMix instance.

This weekend we migrated over to using Teradici because it handles remote desktop + USB + multiple monitors all in one solution. Sounds great, right? At first my system was working flawlessly, but as the day wore on it got worse and worse. Activators worked less and less, then the APC stopped connecting to the servers at all, and vMix started hanging and crashing just from doing simple things like clicking on Settings or pressing Cancel.

I uninstalled ZeroTier, Virtual Here and went through several rounds of restarts on my local and remote machines.

I got everything back to a stable state using Teradici, all the keyboard and APC shortcuts work, and my activators light up at first, but after I press buttons the APC button lights will go out and not turn back to their default states, that is until I start rotating APC knobs that are not assigned to anything. Then the lights come back on. So strange.

I don't "think" I programmed any strange MIDI commands, but it's very hard to tell. I realized all the shortcuts and activators I built were global, so I went through with a new version of my project and changed most of them to Local.

Does anyone have insight in to what may have happened with my project and APC activators? Is it the remote configuration? Did I approach my vMix build in the wrong way?

I am not sure whats going wrong with the communication over ZeroTier, but might I suggest you take a look at our app Central Control - http://centralcontrol.io/

Many are using it (including myself) to control AWS vMix instances.
