In vMix v.13 the Snapshot shortcut was introduced, a nice feature that we are looking forward to use. Maybe the idea arose from the topic Taking snapshot of the output, where user rbe asked "will it still open the dialog box to ask for a file name or can it be automated somehow?". It seems the answer is yes, it still opens the dialog box. I find this useful for some cases, but mostly in the way. I also noticed that the folder for the save folder is Window's last used folder, which may vary during a production. Therefore I suggest the following - A new setting for "Default Folder for Snapshots" and "Snapshot file name" (latter as for recording file names) - That the Value parameter for the Snapshot shortcut is AutosaveOff (default), or AutosaveOn. Useful? Logical?

A filename can be specified as the value to avoid opening the dialog. Dates can also be used in the filename as follows:
f:\test {0:dd MMM yyyy}.png

Great! Guess that render my request obsolete. EDIT: reconcidering, having a setting for defaul folder and file name for Snapshots would still be useful to eliminate the "Save as dialogue".
I tried looking through the help documentation to find Snapshot value settings, but did not found anything. Unless I missed it, pls have it added to the help.

f:\test {0:dd MMM yyyy}.png Cool. i was able to figure out that you place this information on the value part of the shortcut... but when i press the shortcut, it makes a snapshot... but it keeps re-writing over the same file... how can i get it so that the snapsnot increments? so it continues to save all the snapshots i take? thanks in advance.

Add the time of day to it and you will have a unique filename each time example: {0:dd MM yy - hh-mm-ss tt}
