Folks,

I am using a 4k Camlink external capture device for providing video feed into Vmix.

Worked fine on a windows 7 machine. I copied the presets over from the windows 7 machine to a brand new windows 10 machine. The windows 10 machine won't recognize the camera input. When I try using OBS it picks up the camera input just fine.

I tried adding the camera input in Vmix again using 1920x1080 resolution NTSC 29.97p frame rate (which is what was used on the old windows 7 machine as well). When I tried this it provided an error stating supported resolutions ( it said I had to use 3840x1920). I tried the suggested resolution and Vmix spouted out another error stating I have to upgrade to another version of Vmix. We already purchased HD version and it worked on another machine so I don't think that's the solution here.

I really think it's a glitch in the software.

Anyone have ideas on what I can try?

I've tried reinstalling Vmix and reinstalling the cam link 4k drivers and it still won't work.

What camera are you using and what resolution is it sending?
If the error message is suggesting that you use a 4K resolution, then the camera is likely delivering 4K, which vMix HD cannot do.

I'm a bit embarrassed. Someone changed the output resolution of the camera in between when I switched machines so I did not think to check the output resolution of the camera.

We switched the output of the camera to the previous resolution 1920x1080 and Vmix picked it up just fine. Oops.

Thanks for replying though,
