We are planning on shows that have different callers using the same call input at different time slots within one event. This is because we have 20 callers during the entire show, more than the 8 allowed in the pro version. So call input #1 is used from 9-10 by Joe and from 11-12 by Jack. We would give the password to both, telling them wenn to dial in, and pray that Jack does not try it out when Joe is live. Then he would bomb the call session and throw Joe out of the show....

To solve this problem, what if we could deactivate a call input in VMix and by that have more than 8 calls in a preset? So max 8 are active (or whatever number your version of vmix allows), but more than 8 can be in the preset. I would then be able to give out an individual password for each guest in the show...

Interesting Idea

Ive also thought that it would be good to be able to stop someone calling in on top of another caller when they are connected to have the same effect. A "lock current call" could help, dont know weather web rtc can facilitate this

+1 or a recall scope on the presets that would allow you to save a whole input state and recall it on an input. That might be more versatile. I also need to save the color, position and audio settings of those separate callers. Thanks for reading.

I especially like the "lock call" idea. This would also help if someone coincidentally typed in a valid active password accidentally.

best workaround for now is: make a project with 8 callers each.

have the first 8 callers in your initial project.

Then, once their slots are over, close these caller inputs and open the other project file. You can then append the other callers to your running project file.
