Today I got a email from Livestream announcing a new model of production switcher priced at a whopping $8000. it is not too different than the hardware setup someone might have for a Vmix setup however they are using several Decklink Mini Recorder PCI cards. I had considered getting their deckling quad card as I have some HDSDI cameras but now many newer pro grade cameras are moving to HDMI. Was wondering how Vmix would do with several of these cards installed. They run only about $130 so I could have 4 sdi/hdmi inputs for$520 USD in my supercharged Vmix machine I have already built. I might add for a fraction of $8000. BTW not posting the link to livestream store suggesting that anyone go there and buy it but rather appreciate they found vmix when they see the price of competing products. http://store.livestream.com/pages/livestream-studio-hardware

I've two Decklink Mini Recorder PCI cards (HD-SDI in) and an Intensy Pro (HDMI in) in my vMix PC and it works perfect.

be aware that using a couple of bm cards draws heavy on the pcie slots. so you need a modetn motherboard capable of handling 4cards.
i use several bm cards including monitor and input minis and they are well priced and offer both hdmi and sdi options.
the mini svalso fit in a low profile rack or pc so they save space.
good luck stefan

thanks so much for the replies. I am actually running vmix on a brand new machine I built just for vmix. brand new asus MB newest 3.5 i7 43gb ram prob more video card than I need from nvidia but all in I might have $1800 in the whole box which I was looking at a tricaster from $10,000 and up so I had no problem spending what I did building my own machine under $2000 and since I built it myself I know how to fix it and have a upgrade path as new hardware comes out. I can't believe these BM cards are selling for under $140 4 of these for under $600 gives the option of any combination of up to 4 sdi or 4 hdmi or any combination. makes for a remarkably flexible system

I'm using an older model: ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE, it handles a videocard and 4 BM cards with no problem.
