Hi there, I'm wondering if its possible to embed some kind of timecode into clips recorded in the Multicorder/recorder.
We often record the Switched output and plus multichannel audio WAV plus individual shots using the multicorder.
Even with automation, the recording starts of the recorder to multicorder are not exactly lined up multicorder files are alinged with each other.

We then may want to sync up the files in Resolve or somesuch and it would seem that the best way would be using TC.
Would it be viable for VMIX to embed some TC data (current system time?) into the clips so that they can easily be aligned? if not, how would one acheive this?
I guess alternatively could there be an antry in the multicorder XML file for the additional switched output?

Or perhaps theres a better workaround.
I guess I could route switch to an output and add that into the multi-corder, but then I wouldnt have the multi-channel audio file?
Is there a way to record multi-channel audio only via the record option - that would be awesome..

Many thanks

In the film industry you sync via the slate/clapperboard. That would work as well. In resolve you can then align based on the audio.

The switching commands in the xml is a good idea. This shouldn't be too complicated. Please submit it as a feature request.

Clapper baord works great for local cameras, but when two or more are from external (vmixcall or Zoom) its not possible to hit the sync across those shots too.
I figured I can make the record settings like 160p or something really tiny, route the output to multicorder and have the audio recorded multichannel to the wav for the recroder rather than the multicorder.
I guess maybe I should have an oldschool countdown with blips that would go to the master track on all the shots...

I need this feature too. Dropped OBS for recording because vMix has more flexibility.

Some projects require syncing with camera and other sources. Right now I just connected a USB mic and record a separate track for audio syncing in Resolve. Timecode will be more convenient.
