hi martin,
this request is very important for me and i think is very important too for vmix users.
can you improve recording feature to make possible to user to choose the container file, the video codec and the audio codec individually?
this would be a great improvement on recording feature.
if is possible, please martin, try to implement an individual source recording feature. i know that is there a lot of work and an high end is needed for this feature but think about the video producers, it will help a lot of them with live productions and it represents a big step ahead to vmix.
thank you for your attention, sorry about my insistence, regards...
melody

I thought I would post here a definitive response regarding the various recording formats.
AVI - Supported with a variety of codecs WMV - Supported MPG - Support added to vMix 2012 h264 - If customers would like to pay the $200 licensing fee, support will be added, otherwise FMLE is available.
For source recording, I would like to propose the following:
vMix HD Pro - $500 Raw recording of camera inputs to AVI Requires a top of the line PC with two separate drives in a RAID-0 configuration, or an SSD.
Please submit expressions of interest for this product here.
Regards,
Martin vMix

wow martin, good news... thank you so much to added mpg support... this is very very useful. about h264, would you like to provide x264 and he-aac as a vmix licensed plugins and mp4 encapsulation, all them previously payable on vmix web site? about vMix HD Pro, this is a dream turned true. what you think about to add raw recording of camera inputs to AVI and video replay on this new edition? martin, thank you again about this new improvements... as i said before, vMix will be the best software video mixer on the road... regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc
