With three X-Keys XK-80 keyboards, one for vMix and two others for related video applications, the vMix Shortcuts/Activator Midi Channel Mapping dialog does not uniquely identify each of these devices (below).

Selecting the incorrect device will cause the selected X-Keys device to malfunction with its associated application.
Which means re-starting that application & unplugging the failed X-Key device.

Using the X-Keys Diagnostic (below), it can be shown that there are two unique identifying attributes (Device ID and Unit ID) for each X-Keys device that can be used to clearly identify each device in the vMix Activator Channel Mapping dialog.

It is important to identify which X-Keys Unit Number is displayed in the vMix dialog, so the User can accurately assign a Midi Channel to the correct X-Keys Device. Without that information, the User is only guessing which X-Keys device is being assigned with a Midi Channel. X-Keys provide a small free application that allows the User to assign a unique Unit ID to each device. This Unit ID is permanently written into the X-Keys device, until the User decides to change it to another value.

An example of how this may look is shown below.

This feature request or the missing code was discussed on the July 2020 vMix Funtime Show.

I have updated the request with additional information and an example, for those vMixers who have more than one X-Keys device.

This will better explain to Martin the nature of the feature request.

+1 We have the same problem.

Can't set the midi channel to the correct keyboard when you have multiple x-keys keyboards and you don't see or know the device name or ID for each keyboard in vmix. Hit & miss, trial & error.

Sometimes causes the x-keys keyboard to disconnect from another program (ie. Blackmagic Atem & Videohub).
