Run animated titles on multiview overlays

I have a requirement for 4 inputs on screen with 4 titles to appear on demand and disappear after x seconds with one shortcut.
My first attempt was to add a title to a disabled layer on an input and use a shortcut to bring that on and off (MultiviewOverlayOn). This works but doesn't run the animation and is a hard cut.
My next approach was to use SetMultiviewOverlay, this does trigger the title animation but it seems to show the last frame of the title before beginning the animation and I'm having trouble setting a trigger for the title to fade after x seconds.
I'm sure there is better way.
Thanks,
Dave

Triggers work on original inputs not layers
4 inputs at the same time ? Do these 4 titles have to appear individually , sequentially or together ?

than create 1 title holding your "4 titles" , overlay it and trigger it to go away after set delay

Thanks for the idea. Will give it a try. Am I to understand that the functionality I need is only available in Overlays? I quite liked the idea of tying a title to an input as I have several multiviews with different layouts and numbers of pips and it seemed to be a time-saving choice.

no , triggers respond to action on an input , not a layer in a multiview for example say you have a multiview ( your layouts) a trigger will respond the action of the main layer as such that's were one has to specify it now say you have no 2 titles with a layout inside to match your 2 MV's for each set a trigger on the MV inputs to overlayin the matching title on ontransitionin , the matching title now needs a trigger on overlayIn to overlayout with a delay of x seconds. that's it be it you manually transition to your MV or with a shortcut so each multiview can trigger its own matching title
