ASIO buffer always 1024 samples

Hello,
I have a problem that seems common to various asio audio cards related to buffer size.
Now I have it with an Audient but I faced it also with an M-Audio some time ago.
If I set the asio buffer from Audient ID control panel to lower size, as soon as I initialize audio in vMix it comes back to 1024 samples.
The board works perfectly with other ASIO software like Reaper.
I know other people had this problem with various brand of audio equipment.
Is there any news from vMix about that?
