Just wondering how difficult would it be to setup different login roles for vMix. Here's a case study.

We are livestreaming at our church and we have volunteers that operate the vMix workstation. 90% of the configuration has been done, so we have an operator come in and run the vMix workstation. All PTZ Presets have been set on the xKeys keyboard so all the operator would do is update a few title texts during the broadcast. We would like to "lock down" the vMix workstation so they can 1) Open the approved profile 2)Update any Lower Third Text 3) Adjust volumes 4) page up/down powerpoint 5) Stop/Start Stream or Recording

We don't want them to have the following privileges.
1) Create or modify a profile
2) Add/Remove Inputs
3) Add/Update Stream Destinations
and a few other items.

Is this possible? Have an Operator vs Admin login?

Thanks.

Have you looked at the Basic setting (top right of screen)? And the lock function (Bottom right.)? A combination of that might be close to what you want. Setup in advanced then switch to basic. There is also a settings menu that can be used to open in basic mode. Also you might try setting up a profile and create a shortcut to it on the desktop. Have your users launch from that.
