Audio is the achilles heel of most video production. People will put up with marginal video, but not audio. Even with an exterior mic and no background noise, sometimes the internet distorts audio. I would suggest a new feature on the vixmix callers screen; the optionto record a separate and additional audio track on their computer. After the session, the vmixcaller can email the clean audio track to the producer.

That can be done now using tools like Audacity or even Windows Sound Recorder. I see no point in a seperate vMix based tool.

I do an interview series and my guests are all on vmix call. One of the best parts of vmix call is that the guests on the show do Not have to download or install any software (except Chrome or Firefox browser). Most guests are not tech savy at all. To ask them to download, install and use anything won't work. Even the idea of them being able to find and email the second audio file might be pushing it. The log in should have a box they check to turn on a second audio and indicate where the file will be.

I run training sessions nearly every week. We simply have an instruction sheet with pictures that we send the attendees prior. Surprisingly there are no real issues.
"On Windows 10, the Voice Recorder (new name for Sound recorder) app is a quick and convenient solution that you can use to record interviews, conversations, lectures, podcasts, and anything that makes a sound.
Although there are tons of alternatives, the free Voice Recorder app included on Windows 10 is simple, and ships with all the necessary features to record, trim, flag important moments, and share audio.
Recording audio
To record audio on Windows 10, make sure the microphone is connected (if applicable), and use these steps:
Open Start.
Search for Video Recorder, and click the top result to open the app.
Click the Record button.

Quick tip: You can also start recording using the Ctrl + R keyboard shortcut.
(Optional) Click the Flag button to add a marker to the recording.
Quick note: This option won't interrupt the audio recording, but when editing the track, you can quickly jump to important parts of the recording.
(Optional) Click the Pause button to stop recording without terminating the session. (This option will keep the recording in a single file.)
Click the Stop button to end the voice recording.

Once you complete the steps, the audio will save automatically using a .m4a file format in the "Sound recordings" folder inside the "Documents" folder."
