Hello,
I am new vMix and I am trying to build a system for the following purpose:
1. Input
2 to 3 HDMI input - 1-2 Canon XA25, 1 x Epson DC 12 Document Camera, all in 1080p30
2. Realtime recording (Synchronized timecode) for the 2-3 HDMI input
3. Realtime switched program output in 720p recorded on file and HDMI/SD program output through HDMI/Composite or S-video
4. Ability to record timecode for live switching for further post processing
5. Ability to recorded arbitrary timecode to be imported as time mark for postprocessing
I will be building either a laptop or desktop for this functions.
Would you have any inputs if these features can be implemented with vMix and what kind of computer spec and hardware capture/output device that I would require?
Thanks,
Ed

hi bluelight, welcome :) vmix can do with modest hardware what some other softwares cannot do with some high end machines. the best way to do what you want is to invest on 1Go Dedicated nvidia graphic card, at least. note that nvidia chip is prefered than ATI, due to CUDA capabilities. regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc

Thanks,
Ed Timecode based on computer clock or selected from one SDI input on mpeg TS recordings would be great to sync master with multicorder in Premiere pro! Also having a RECORD ALL button to start and stop master and multicorder simultaneously could helpful!

Dear All, I'm newbie here. My church need to have video switcher for 3 cameras. Currently we have one laptop to be used for vmix and 3 moderate sony camcorders.
My question is, is there any capture device (better than easycap) for our laptop (with vmix) could capture those 3 cameras? any blackmagic design products probably (since this is the only brand that I know that I can get in my local store).
PS: our laptop only has 1 usb 3.0 and 2 usb 2.0 ports
Thanks a lot.
Volvin
