I'm hosting a live show from a remote location, and will have two experts talking to each other over the subject we'll be live streaming. I have them both in Vmix call, and I've made a multiview to have their camera and names as just one overlay.

However, at certain times during the stream, they'll not be talking. When I remove the overlay, I would expect the audio from the call to disappear as well. This is not the case though, as their audio is still sent to master.

I have them routed to a bus so I can talk to them without being heard on the stream, is there a trigger I can apply to have their audio routed to only this bus and not Master on overlayOut?

You can either

- use Automatically Mix Audio feature
OR
- manually mix their audio output
OR
- have their audio coming in with another audio bus than Master
OR
- check this video as an inspiration for IFB on switching busses, either automatically using triggers (your example) or manually having shortcuts for this

There are different ways to accomplish what you describe, and depending on exactly what you want to do will determine the best option, but in direct answer to your question, you can turn their audio On and Off like a toggle switch with the Shortcut function: "Audio".
This could be applied as either a Shortcut or a Trigger.

I hope that helps.

I tried this, but then they don't hear each other? My solution thus far is this:

- Callers send audio to bus A and B
- Stream operator is on bus A only, which is not sent to master
- Bus B is sent to master, with a trigger on the multiview overlay which turns off bus B on overlayOut

So far I think this works, so fingers crossed! Thanks for your replies
