Forgive me if this is already possible, the forum search seems to be glitching for me on Firefox.
It would be very useful to be able to loop individual items within a list.
For example, I have a bunch of looping interstitial graphics (like animated slides, but video files) to play at various points in a program. I have a "walk-in" loop for the beginning of the program, intermission loop, closing loop, and then several others that play in the background during presentations. I currently only see a way to loop the entire list from the last item back to the first. What I'm hoping for is a way to loop each item on its own. The only way I can see to do this is to have each file in its own input. Putting them all in a list would save me a lot of inputs and shortcuts, which would help greatly since I have to operate this remotely.

LOL ! No offense, but you guys are amazing ! Basically you would like the playlist feature NOT to behave like a playlist feature !
Sorry for putting it this way, I understand your use case but it seems to me that what you're asking here makes no sense at all. If you need the list option to not do what it's supposed to do (even optionnally), then the question is : is the list feature the right option to use for what I'm trying to do ?
If we start changing the very nature of features so that they act the opposite way of their initial logic, then what's next step ? - I would like my audio inputs to display video - I would like my inputs to behave like outputs - I would like my blue ink pen to write in red...
FYI, we have explained many times on this forum how to deal with inputs moves so that shortcuts can be set for an input number rather than an input name for example... This way LOOP feature works and the same shorcut can operate many inputs. OR you can also use the 10 layers in a multiview to overlap several inputs (your interstitial graphics) and use the overlays shortcuts to move them sequencially on top of the others or show/hide them according to your needs AND how the use of tabs can help to deal with too many inputs
Again sorry if you feel I'm sarcastic or offensive, that's not my intention, but I'm really taken aback to see what you guys can ask sometimes...

Thanks for the workaround ideas, I will definitely give that a shot.
As for your absurd reaction, I was simply asking for a playlist feature to operate like every other video playback software I've used as a live event operator. Operators like myself who are coming from industry standard video production tools find the vMix naming schemes, interface, and much of its functionality to contradict standard conventions that have been in use for decades. For instance, loading additional playback assets into additional "inputs" is counterintuitive coming from any kind of production background.
That said, they've given it the flexibility to be very powerful if you're willing to translate standard ways of working into effective (though time consuming) workarounds like you've recommended. I won't be complaining about that aspect!

Have you tried to deactivate the Auto Next function on your list? It should behave like you want it to.

It does! I can't believe I missed that, it was the middle of a hectic pre-pro session. Thank you!

look I don't know if this is the case but you can grab a list of videos and select one according to an order you want, I did it in order to teach the scripts how I can get publicity from a list of videos; I know something basic about scripts and that is what applies here, I hope it will help you and not complicate things any more .... I am Peruvian so the tutorial is in Castilian Latin I do not know if it can help you .... what I speak begins at 12:29 minutes, take videos from a list and not have a video for each entry ... greetings :) ?t=746
