Hi everyone,

Is there a way within vMix to change the title of a stream every time you use it? For example, from one church service to the next? Or do you have to go to YouTube to do it.

Click on Stream setting gear at the bottom of vMix, sign into Facebook and the next window that pops up will give you a place to enter the title and show description. (I change it every Sunday to what the pastor is preaching.)

Can you do this right in vMix or do you have to go to YouTube to do this? Only way I have figured out how to stream to YouTube is that I have to go to YouTube studio and schedule the next event. When I do that I do what you are saying and only have to update the date in the Title and Description. Good news is that it does not change the stream key when you do this. Would be nice to be able to update the Title and Description in vMix. Our volunteer operators do not have access to the YouTube account so cannot schedule or update the next event. The good news is that I can do this in advance so it is ready for them so one less thing for them to have to worry about. Wish I could do FaceBook the same way so they do not have to update that in vMix each time we live streams, OR, wish they could update YouTube in vMix so it was consistent with FaceBook.

I am a vMix rookie so may be missing something. We have been using a camcorder connected to a Epiphan Webcaster for encoding and using Switchboard Cloud to stream. Very simple but limits the production capabilities. Plan to move to vMix next week once our PTZ camera is mounted. May continue using Switchboard Cloud with vMix to do the 2 streams to start. But really prefer to save the $35/month and stream directly from vMix.
