How to send video out to an hdmi switcher

We have a custom pc with a magwell 4 port hdmi card with 3 cameras coming in. We have an nvidia video card running our monitor.
We want to figure out a way to send video out to our hdmi switcher that sends the signal to other TVs in our building.
We tried to plug an hdmi cord from switcher into the 4th port on the video capture card but nothing happened. I am not sure if it will even send video signal out or not. If it will, do I need to change a setting in vmix? Hoping to get some ideas to try.
Thanks! John

Details please.
What GPU? I'm not surprised that the hdmi input didn't put out video. Perhaps a simple splitter at your monitor to also drive the switcher.

What do you mean by what gpu? The video card?
There is an hdmi port on the motherboard but when I plug it in there, nothing comes out either. Is there a way to get vmix to use that one?
I don't think a splitter will work because we want the streaming output and not just what is on the monitor.
Thanks, John

Hi John,
Friend, I want to help but please don't only rely on me for info. A search will tell you that GPU is a graphics processing unit. Your video or graphics card. I can only guess as to what gear you have. In order to understand and help more details are needed.
There is the fullscreen output in vmix you can use if you have a second video output. Do you have a second output?

Can I use the hdmi port on the motherboard as another output? When i plug into it, windows does not see it as another display.
I will look up the video card when I get to church.
Thanks, John

That would be great. You might be able to use the onboard (one integrated into the motherboard) hdmi port. It depends on your system. It could be disabled by another graphics card. There really is no way to know. Send more details and we can go from there.

Have you extended the Windows desktop to all monitors plugged into your Graphics card?

It is nvidia geforce HTC 1660.
Motherboard is AMD x570
I plugged the switcher into the hdminport on the motherboard and windows doesn't see it as a display to extend on.

Get it working on a 2nd monitor first then worry about the splitter https://support.microsof...-10-set-up-dual-monitors

I am going to grab another monitor and plug it into the hdmi output on the motherboard. The current monitor is plugged into the nvidia card.

So I think I either need to get another graphics card or enable the on board graphics card in the bios. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I looked at the 1660 it looks like it has multiple connectors on it. You should be able to connect a monitor to another port. I see a Displayport and a DVI-D. Either one can be adapted to hdmi.
Does your card have these connectors?
