I am trying to set up some automation for a channel.
We are taking in an RTMP feed from a camera that is live streaming over the air. At times the cell modems cut out and we have to monitor the broadcast to manually swap over to the hold slide when this happens.
Have you seen or do you know of a trigger that will sense when the incoming stream goes down and automatically switch to another input?

You should set up a RTMP server to receive the feed before pushing it to vMix All servers I know, even the free ones like Mist or NGINX, have a logging service to report all errors. Then it's easy to parse the log file every x seconds in order to take actions by scripts or whatever...
