I am using Photos input to bring in a folder. When changing the order of photos in the SlideShow settings, the order will change after vMix is closed and reopened.
So if the folder contains A.png, B.png, C.png
Change order to C, B, A
After save and restart the order will be something like C, A, B
Is there a way to make the change persistent between sessions?

Bumping as it has been a few weeks.
I know this is not terribly exciting, but if we have the ability to organise the image order it would be useful for the order to remain persistent after restart.
To me it seems like a bug. Any developer feedback would be appreciated when possible.
Thanks.

just rename your images in the folder so that they show in the right order. It's way quicker and simpler to do than anything else or re-doing over and over the same changes.
I always do this 01.jpg 02.jpg 03.jpg
as easy as A B C

Hi DWAM
Thank you for the suggestion and I get the 01.jpg etc logic.
A, B and C is just my referencing of image order for the sake of the question. The file names are actually various and out of my hands, and in this particular usage scenario I won't have access to the system after client hand off to constantly rename new files just to keep order in various SlideShows between sessions.
I guess if this is the only viable solution then I guess this becomes a request to StudioCoast to make the order change persistent in a future build.
SlideShow is like a Playlist, I wouldn't expect the order to jumble up. It doesn't make sense to me.

Hi doggy
Understand the difference between list (photos from a folder) and playlist (list of inputs). I guess I was referring to the similarity in that they can both be reordered, one is persistent whilst the other is not.
In the same way a playlist stores inputs in a user defined order, it is not unfathomable that a software could be capable of retaining a modified List order.

Not sure but the fact that the list is taking from the content of a folder which can change when vMix is not open compared to the inputs vMix knows the details of ( location etc) makes vMix treat it differently in terms of keeping track of in its settings When opening an setup and vMix doesn't find an input one gets an error (or question to change) for a folder it's the folder location and name that's important but having to check all it's content seems to be a bit impractical in my view . For a playlist its just keeping track of the references to an existing input (list of numbers) Changing orders once open isnt a big deal , keeping track of it all for future is a different story . anyway to me it makes sense (programatically)
but as pointed out , the easiest solution is to name the files in order just like the image sequence for stingers etc

I just came across the same issue and found it easy to rename the pictures by selecting them all in the folder and doing a rename on the 1st image. It renames them all but appends a (1) and counts up to all images. Very quick and easy after ordering by create date (which is the order I wanted). Obviously not doable if you don't have access to the folder you are pulling from.
