Hello all,

My first post here. Playing with the first vMIX steps. Great program! Our local radiostation is experimenting with videostreams, using vMIX as the source. Still investigating if vMIX is the best solution for us, but until now it is. But there are a few issues which must be solved, otherwise we have to manually do things over and over.. I have asked for some automation in the playlist, Martin answered:

Hi Marcel,
The ability to select a playlist to run will be available through the
API/Web Interface in the next version. (vMix 12).
I will also keep in mind your suggestion of running a playlist on startup.

Now i have a problem earlier described in this discussion (but without solution): http://forums.vmix.com.au/default.aspx?g=posts&t=293

vMIX is in a continous playlist loop. Most inputs are HD cams displaying our studio, but sometimes there is also a live rtmp stream. This stream is used when we are on a remote location. Everything works as a charm, but when the RTMP stream is down, vMIX displays the message "We are inable to connect the content you've requested. We apologize for the inconvenience". It doesn't matter when the stream returns, vMIX displays the same message until restarting vMIX.

Is there some work around? It should be great that vMIX doesn't show the page "We are unable..." but ignores the stream when it isn't there. When the stream returns, it shpuld be played automatically again.... Is this possibe (or in the next release?)

Kind regards,

Marcel
