Here you can find a screenshot of a small MIDI to VMIX API Interpreter coded in Visual Basic 6 (yes i know a very old programming code, but the only one i know)

The function list is a txt file with functions that you want to add

I also want to add sliders and potentiometers function into VMIX but still in progress

Hope that you will like this :D

Thanks for posting this - I have a NI Maschine that I've been looking for a method to interface with for some time. The closest I've come so far is MIDI > Keyboard macros, but program focus couldn't be assured. Can't wait to check this out over the weekend.

Great, great, great! :)

I'm waiting for a long time for such a feature ... and I was already thinking about starting my own one application to do this, but don't have much time for it at the moment. Can you additionally imagine to integrate a midi-output as well?

That would allow us to use devices like this Recording Lamp USB to indicate vMix events ("Tally light", "Recording" etc.) with different colors based on the vMix return-xml.

If you want me to test this suggestion or your solution at all, feel free to contact me. And I already have got a Recording Lamp USB as well as a Behringer bcf 2000 device at home to try it.

What do you think?

Thanks for your answer and work! I will open up a feature request on about the punchlight as well and soon be trying your first Beta. Feedback is coming.

Did try the Beta on two different machines:

1) Windows 7 Home Premium: When starting VmixMidiMapper_beta_v0_0_1 it says the component 'comctl32.ocx' or one if it's dependencies is missing or not valid.
2) Windows 7 Professional: When starting VmixMidiMapper_beta_v0_0_1 it says the language dll 'vb6fr.dll' could not be found.
