Since many superimposed titles co-exist with underlying video, being able to compose with that video visible is quite important. Including the ability to play background video input would also be best to confirm a title's visual relationship throughout the clip.

Just take a snapshop of your video and use it as a temporary background image

or

my personal method when I need several titles to combine with each other perfectly is to create a complete template with placeholders at the pixel level (in CorelDRAW, Illustrator or Affinity Designer) and use it as a guide for each title... Works perfectly... at the pixel level...

Thank you again, DWAM.
I guess I'm a bit prejudiced coming from video editing world where composing titles over their underlying video is normal.
Have to adapt...

Live production and video editing are 2 different worlds. Same logic or behaviour cannot be used for the preps or the making... Some things look alike in the end but they're not... and there are reasons for that...

vMix is a fantastic tool and its only limits are your creativity.... Think a little out of the box, forget what you're used to with NLE and you'll be a very happy man ! ;)

I'm already very happy with vMix! Will try to adapt more.
