I am running vmix x64 on windows 7. I am trying to have the output stream be directed to my home theater system. I clicked the setup next to the recording tab , and set the WMV streaming and with the standard setup of port 8080. I was able to get the windows media player to play the url : 192.168.0.4:8080 with no problem.
However, I need to have this stream play on a device on the same network that is connected to the A/V receiver such as a Blue Ray DVD player. This device shows up on the windows as a "play to" device however, upon selecting the url stream to play , it comes back with "Failed to retrieve media information from media server" Any advise is appreciated.. thanks,

hi farsh,
i managed to get the stream playing in VLC media player without a problem. In windows media player I don't seem to get it working.
In addition to the wmv stream it would be nice to be able to record the stream aswell, maybe in wmv if that is easy to implement and preferably in one of the other recording formats.
in this way wmv streaming could be part of the external options.
is that an option Martin ?
cheers Stefan
