We're seeing a severe delay in the NDI source on the vMix side, on the order of anywhere from 4-12 seconds.
Here's our setup:
========== DESTINATION:
* AMD Ryzen 3600 * 32GB ram * 512TB nvme ssd * GTX 1650 super
vMix 23:
* 2x 4k camera sources (Sony AX53) via elgato HD60s+ * 1x NDI source used in overlay * 1x audio source from the board via iConnectAudio * 2x intro/outro timers * 2x intro/outro videos
SOURCE: 2015 i7 model Macbook 16GB ram
ProPresenter 6: 1x stage display Syphon2NDI
NETWORKING: * both computers plugged into the same physical switch (Netgear GS108PE-300NAS), confirmed both are running at 1000mbps * destination PC is streaming with vMix to restream.io * minimal network usage elsewhere ==========
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

This usually indicates a network component has become overloaded. Usually a port on the switch or a NIC. The workaround is to reboot/restart TX or RX devices.

All 3 devices, NDI server, network switch, NDI client, were shut down and restarted - no difference. The switch was brand new out of the box, and shouldn't require any configuration, but any suggestions on settings to check? QoS? frames?

It was the switch apparently - swapped it out with a comparable linksys and NDI worked flawlessly

Out of curiosity, what are the brand/models of the switches?
Thanks, Sal

Thanks, Sal Problematic switch was Netgear GS108PE-300NAS. Plugged it in straight out of the box, didn't attempt to update firmware or anything. Didn't see anything in the web admin UI that would've affected that. The new switch that worked without any problems was the Linksys LGS108P.

For NDI use, it is always preferable to disable all EEE in switches, so you ensure the switch is not automatically throttling traffic.
