I am using a Osprey 440 capture card with the default settings: 768x576, deinterlacing on (adaptive motion).
Connected are 3 Sony SNC-RZ25 camera's with composite PAL video out and a PC (vga->video converter).
The input and output resolutions in vMix are also 768x576.

I am using WME9 with WMV9 codec (videosize=input size) and 600kps streaming resolution.
The PC image quality is alright but the camera images do have (scaling?) effects like stair lines and blurr.

Do I use the wrong settings?

Let me rephrase the question:
What is the minimum bitrate that I need for broadcasting with 720x576 25fps?
I increased the bitrate form 600kpps to 750kpps, but can't see any difference.
Can I improve the quality bij downscaling to a lower resolution?
Many opinions on forums are contradictory.

Here a table of what we're using for the upload speed according to your upload speed.
All these data are verify on our setup. Some values may change according to your CDN (server distance, download speed, etc...)
All necessary upload speeds are for a 25fps setup

Thanks, for the info.
unfortunately a higher bitrate doesn't improve the stream quality.
I guess I already got the best quality that is possible with PAL.
