I’m trying to find the best way to setup a remote record. I have a person that I’m trying to record reading from a script. The intention is to have them on vmix-call, and show them the script on screen with the video feedback from vmix (a word screen capture). Also, there will be a producer called in, that may need to give the person directions.
My hope is to have an easy and quick way to “overlay” the producer’s video feed, or my own camera, on top of the script on the actor’s screen. And at the same time, have the actor’s clean feed on my output.
I am currently routing the script to output 2 (in output settings) and sending that as the video source for the actor. and it works great, but overlays don’t show up. (All outputs except for the main one are set to “all on” for overlays)
Am I don’t something wrong here? Is there a better way to achieve this?

You are doing everything right. If you enable overlays on Output2 they should show up in vMIX Call.
Check overlay settings, try to position them properly. And check for yourself Output2 in vMIX program, whether they work or not.

But it doesn't work :-/ I have overlays enabled on all outputs.. here are my vmix call settings and output settings. Still if I overlay an input it doesn't go out to the call.. Output settings.png (19kb) downloaded 1 time(s). Call Video Source.png (52kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

I'm not sure, but probably the four overlay channels are bound to the program output, to create clean feeds. You can do what you want by using the multiview layers in the input settings, and create shortcuts for toggling/setting the layers. https://www.vmix.com/hel...utSettingsMultiView.htmlhttps://www.vmix.com/hel...utFunctionReference.html(Shortcuts: MultiViewOverlay and/or SetMultiViewOverlay) This might even be the preferable way, as it keeps your overlay channels clean, you might need them in the future. When you have this fixed setting (one specific input with two or three specific overlays), this should be the way to go. (If you need the "clean" script input also in the main output of your production, you can create a virtual input.)
