Hello,
Been trying to figure out how to fire tally lights when using virtual inputs of NDI encoders. The main input runs the tally, but when a virtual input is made with the main input as source, the tally breaks. Is there a way to trigger the tally lights on sources via triggers in a virtual input?
I'm using multiple fixed cameras connected to Magewell Pro Converts with virtual inputs to approximate different shots.
Using vMix 4K 23.0.0.51

I wanted to let you know that it's the same behavior on my end.

Looks like it's just not possible right now, but there is a workaround. Granted, it's not a very intuitive workaround compared the the rest of vMix, but it'll do: Code:
You are correct that Virtual inputs won't trigger any tally lights on the original source input, as they are designed to be a copy and therefore work completely independently.
So instead of using virtual inputs, I recommend using it inside separate input multiviews instead.
So go to Add Input -> Colour -> Transparent. Press OK
Click the input settings on this input
Go to the Multiview tab. From layer 1, choose your camera and press OK
Add additional blank colour inputs and repeat the multiviews for the number you require.
Doing it this way will allow you to:
1. Make independent changes to it that won't affect the original
2. Still activate a tally light when sent to output or preview
