I have two working PTZOptics cameras set to 1080p 30fps
New computer (HP Omen 17-cb0090nr) running VMix HD at 1080 p 30fps
NDI camera inputs not found in “NDI / Desktop Capture”, but NDI output from old computer does show.
Old computer running VMix HD on same gigabit switch does see the cameras.
I have been able to log into the cameras from a browser on new computer so all the network setting seem right.
Initially the computer had McAfee running, uninstalled it, rebooted, then uninstalled VMix and reinstalled and still no joy.
OBS on new computer also does not see NDI Cameras but does see the NDI output from the Old Computer.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks. I am now using Windows Defender. The network is set to private, public is not open. Allowed apps include NDIRecord32, NDIRecord64, and VMix32, VMix64, VMixDesktopCapture, NDIHelper

I also went through the guide at https://www.vmix.com/kno...gnosing-blank-ndi-inputs

Are you able to view the NDI in the Studio Monitor?
Do you have Windows 10N installed? If so, make sure the media pack is added as well.
Are you using the NDI Access Manager?
Try to diagnose with the NDI Analysis Tool (Beta) from Newtek. https://ndi.tv/tools/
Are you running virtual? If I test on a virtualized machine without GPU support I have a black window as well.
thanks 2 users thanked mavik for this useful post.

Thanks,

I am using Windows 10 *Home* (Wow! with the price I paid it should be pro). I will look into Studio Monitor and the other tools you suggest.

So I downloaded the NDI 4 Tools from the ndi.tv link you provided above and installed them and that fixed it!!! I first was able to see it in Studio Monitor but not in VMix, but then I restarted VMix and voila. Thank you so much, mavik! Stay healthy and sane in these dark times.

A friend who installed vMix on her computer recently was also not able to see NDI feeds in vMix until she installed the NDI tools.

Yes, VMix needs to update their NDI troubleshooting page https://www.vmix.com/kno...gnosing-blank-ndi-inputs to include a paragraph about installing these tools. It would save many people some serious hassle. https://ndi.tv/tools/
