It would be great to be able to add a border for a particular input in multiview, like can be done in overlays. thanks!

You can do that already:

1. Start with a color input
2. Add a single multiview layer on top of that.
3. Zoom out slightly on that layer to reveal the color background - which will now look like a border.
4. Use that color (with multi ire layer) as the input in another input’s multiview.
5. You now have a multiview with border.
6. Repeat this to add more bordered layers as desired.

This method works great UNLESS you want to use MERGE to move the layers around (like cable news) - in which case the “borders” move separately from what’s inside them.

I would think that to merge them properly WITH THEIR BORDERS, that the whole borders function would need to be rewritten - and I’d love to see that!

This is exactly why I would like borders. I want to zip and resize the inputs around, just like on cable news. With borders.

People have been asking on the forum for years for this, by the look of it.
