I downloaded the trial and used it today to live stream our town's Veterans Day Parade through uStream.

Unfortunately, VMIX did not recognize the live stream coming from my GoPro3 Black Edition camera. I had to play the stream from VLC then use the screen cap to stream that.

Kludgy and low quality, but it worked.

It would be nice if you could just put in the URL of the GoPro live stream:

http://10.5.5.9:8080/live/amba.m3u8

which is an MP4 stream. If you supported that, a whole new world would open up as the GoPro is an inexpensive camera.

In case anyone is wondering how I did it...

I mounted the camera up high to catch the parade over the crowd.

I connected to the camera through WiFi from my laptop. I connected to the internet through a hardwire Cat5 connection.

I connected to the GoPro live stream using the above web address in VLC. I ran the VMIX desktop capture to grab the VLC screen and connected to uStream from the VMIX software.

Nothing?

Well, I did manage to get VLC to convert the WiFi stream from my GoPro to an RTSP stream compatible with Vmix so that I don't have to use the desktop capture.

Unfortunately, the WiFi stream is low-resolution (320x240).

I haven't been able to get a Blackmagic DeckLink Mini Recorder to work with any HDMI source. It's a finicky bastard.

We used go-pros on our last live webcast. Went HDMI out to Black Magic HDMI-SDI mini converter. Worked beautifully for about 30 hours straight.
