The Pandemic has pushed us to more people working out of office, Our county commissioners are working from remote locations but we still need to have public meetings so if vMix Call supported say 20 callers then we could have a meeting and still broadcast on local PEG channel plus stream live to website.
Our current solution is to use Microsoft Teams then bring this in as an input but it would be a better experience IMO if vMix Call could handle this.

vMix Call is designed for dedicated video sessions for each caller.
These each require bandwidth and CPU resources for each call, and as a result it is not practical even on high end machines to go more than 8 callers reliably.

Other solutions like Zoom combine all calls into a single video stream, which allows them to have more callers, but the downside is they cannot be split up
into separate inputs, which is what vMix Call is designed to allow.

Martin

What's the minimum required hardware needed to support the 8 remote callers along with 2-4 local cameras in 1080? I've looked at the reference systems but they don't address vMix Call capacity. I have gigabit internet so plenty of bandwidth. More concerned about the hardware.

Thanks!

That's really helpful. Remarkably resource efficient on the older hardware.
