Hello.

I'm evaluating vMIX 23 because it seems to be able to do what I want,but not totally. Basically I want to accepts a lot of RTMP connections which come from the Android mobile phones,created with the Larix broadcaster and I want to place all these connections on the main screen of vMIX and I want restreaming everything to a website. Yesterday I have used two Android phones,I created two srt connections with vMIX,but it placed them in separate windows. I would like to know how can I regroup these windows in one only large window and how can I restream all the connections into one only connection to my website. Let me know,thanks.

Hello,

it may be that when you insert an input you want to select BLANK, its only available on one screen the drop down on the input I believe. In that blank input under multiview you can have up to ten on it I think.

Try that?

**Elaboration,

on inputs set an input for each of your inbound streams. then create one BLANK input. under multiview on the BLANK input select each inbound input up to ten and use position for each in the BLANK input window.

nice. I have another question to ask you. In Larix I have created a new connection like this :

mode = audio + video
target = default

url = rtmp://ziomario.ns0.it:1935/live/1234

on Vmix :

stream type = RTSP over TCP
url = rtmp://ziomario.ns0.it:1935/live/1234

and I have opened the port 1935 on my router. On vmix it says : "invalid RTSP protocol". Point is that under stream type there isn't any RTMP protocol and on Larix there isn't any RTSP mode.

Try here: https://forums.vmix.com/.../t10564-vMix-Input-Error

look at this link for this info: https://www.vmix.com/help17/index.htm?Stream.html

RTMP Streams

RTMP Streams can be loaded into vMix in the following URL format: rtmp://web_site_url/live/myStream
Refer to the documentation of the streaming server for the correct URL format for your particular stream.

This is also useful.

i think you are using the wrong input type?

I don't want to put my internal IP number,because I want that my android phone can "talk" with the vmix server when I'm out of my LAN perimeter.

Then you are going to need a service tat connects the external and internal IP via DNS. I forget what that is called but there are services that can do this for you.

you can also setup and use VPN on your phone, super simple.

well i only know English, but that error in the box below means I believe you are out of available inputs per your version of vMix.

the $60 version can only accept 4 inputs.

Perhaps I am not clear? if you want "I want that my android phone can "talk" with the vmix server when I'm out of my LAN perimeter."

are you streaming content from your android phone to the server? or do you simply want to use the web based control panel to control the vMix install on your home network?

if you are simply attempting to use the web based control panel, placing VPN to your home network or the network where vMix is will allow this.

Not really sure the forwarded IP via the service will work with RTMP.

what it means 4 inputs ? I'm using the 60 days trial version. It means : can't establish the connection. Persistent denial of the target computer. That IP number is the IP of the PC where I have installed vmix. I want to connect my android phone with larix to vmix and I'm trying to configure the parameters on the vmix side. Anyway it works if I choose SRT listener on VMIX and SRT on the Larix side. But now I want to try to use the RTMP Or RTSP protocol. or something different than SRT.

got ya, man. tough times.

quick question, so the IP forward works with SRT, not RTMP or RTSP correct?

consider this:
Select TCP, and 1935 as the matching port (without port translation). Depending on your setup, you might also have to forward port 80 or 443.

yes,it works with SRT but not with RTSP/RTMP. This is how I have configured the ports on my router :
