I am beginning to find my way around vMix by reading the manual and looking at forums, but I have a question about recording that I cannot find the answer to. I am wondering about additional settings to allow me to make a 4x3 recording from a 16x9 input. I am shooting with a Sony NX3, going to a AJA U-Tap dongle, then to my laptop. I have the recording set to Mpeg4 H.264, 1280x720, and cropped 160 pixels from each side. But the resulting recording is a 16x9 video that is pillared. Is there a setting that would allow me to record a 4x3 video file? Should I be setting the recording to 960x720? I need to crop the image to 4x3 in order to get rid of extraneous things on either side of a witness during legal deposition filming. Thanks for any input that you might have.
