Hi

I am planning a live sports broadcast with 2 commentators. My plan is to provide the two commentators each with a notebook with headset and integrate them with VmixCall. This works very well with a simple call center headset like this one: https://www.jabra.com.de...evolve-40#/#6393-823-109 .
When I plug in a gaming USB headset the microphone does not work. Test Headset were:

&
https://www.beyerdynamic...-300.html?cid=mm_produkt

Obviously the Call Center Headset and Gaming Headset do not work the same way. Has anyone had the same experience or knows the problem?
Thanks for your input.

best regards
Patrick

Actually, the do basically work the same. My day job is with a conference calling company. We are always recommending headset to clients.

Gaming headsets tend to be more complicated, especially if the purport to deliver surround sound.

Dig into the OS sound settings. It's likely that the mic was simply disabled.

Or the browser somehow doesn't have permission to access that microphone. That setting is in Chrome itself.

Thank you Mavik for your information.
Do you need the Logitech H540 for commentators as well?
If so, how do you add commentators to the show? With vMixCall? what is the quality of the Logitech H540 headset? Do you have a Youtube example of a show?
Thank you for your answer.
Best Regards
Patrick

Yes and no. I have linked the headset to the headphone output of vmix. Rotating the headphone knob effects the volume. That way I have all the freedom I need.

Maybe you didn't really understand me. When you use your Logitech Headset with a VmixCall input, do you hear your own voice clearly and loudly? As I said, it is very important for commentators to hear their own voice well when commenting.

That wouuld be a local setting and could cause some feedback loops. vMix dooes a mix minus for each caller. On the host side you can select an audio bus to send as return feed. It depends on your preferences. Sending their own audio on the return I would NOT recommend. It will have a delay or latency that usually confuses people. If the commentator should hear themselves this is a setting that I would do locally. That way you have zero latency. One option doing so could be dante via.
