Any chance vmix team to build something like Video Call with SRT protocol(instead of WebRTC), in the future?

My setup for reporters with Android smartphone to Public IP address to moderator vMix PC.
SRT Player for Android and Larix Broadcaster

Public IP address. How to search setup on google.

Via the Internet with: Public IP address, -zb. ddns.net.


Open in modem / router port UDP - example: 5000 - 5010

SRT Player for Android

In vMix PC: Settings - Outputs / NDI / SRT - SRT Type: Listener-Port: Number - OK
For example port: 5000

In SRT Player (Android) green+ - Enter: srt: // (Public ip of the vMix Pc): Port number.
For example: srt://Public ip:5000

Larix Broadcaster

In the Larix connection:
For example: srt://Public ip:5001

In vMix input - Stream / SRT - Listener - Port 5001 - OK

Open vMix and go to Settings -> Outputs/NDI/SRT -> Then next to Output 1.
Next click the cog icon to the right of this and select BusA from the Audio Channels dropdown menu and Setup SRT. This will enable the NDI/SRT output from vMix with BusA audio included. Using Bus A audio means we can control what audio is sent back to the SRT-SLDP Player - to avoid any audio feedback.

Next go to Settings -> Audio Outputs -> and set the Bus A option to Enabled.

Go to the Audio Mixer to the right hand side of vMix and adjust the following:
Your own microphone audio input in vMix
Click the cog icon to open its settings. Then next to the headphones icon at the bottom left of this window, turn the headphones control completely off by dragging it down with the mouse.
All other audio inputs you wish to send to the SRT-SLDP Player - except for the Larix SRT Input
Activate the A bus button on all other audio inputs you want your SRT - SLDP Player to hear, such as your own microphone. Make sure you do not activate the A bus button on the Larix SRT Input so the caller doesn't hear themselves.

In srt player settings which public ip to enter? Public ip of main comp where vmix working? Or at the phone side?

Whatever I try I get Can't connect to server on player app.

I already opened port on modem and Larix Broadcaster works nicely.

On the vmix side to use its own ip or ip of the phone side?

No luck with sending srt video out from vmix to phone SLDP Player. Don't know what I am doing wrong.

Works also with public IP address. Broadcast like Larix Broadcaster. Also audio transmission.

Elvis55 I appreciate your help so much. There is just one more question: In multiwindow mode on phone, some apps works in split screen and some does not. Unfortunately Larix Broadcaster and SLDP Player wont work. Do you have any solution for this?

Thank you Elvis55, I will check it again. In the meantime I found out another solution: In Larix Broadcaster enable Developer Options and Foreground Service. Now Larix Broadcaster works in background while SLDP Player works in foreground.
