Hello I would like to set up vMix Call for 2 commentators to comment on a soccer game. The commentators are sitting at the edge of the field and have a notebook with headset in front of them. On the notebooks the two are connected to the control room via Ethernet using vMix Call. What I ask myself: Do I have almost no delay due to the direct Ethernet connection of the commentators' notebooks to the control room or does vMix Call from the two notebooks still make its way over the Internet? Is that technically explainable? Does anyone have experience with it? Since the two commentators are watching the game live from their seats, vMix Call may only have a minimal delay. Thanks for your support. Best regards Patrick

WebRTC apps like vMix Call should try to establish a peer-to-peer connection for the media. That minimizes latency. However, the local network may not allow that. If the two clients are not allowed to see the vMix host directly it will resort to various network tricks to try and link the two ends of the vMix Call. It will try ICE and STUN. These are ways to resolve the local IP address of the endpoints. If that doesn't work, it will fall back to TURN. A TURN server is a media relay, which means that the media is being taken out to the internet and relayed back to the other end. That adds latency, but can overcome a restrictive router/firewall.
