I know 99.9999% of the user-base won't use this, but I don't know how hard it is to just enable it. We do eSports and usually go normal 1080p60 capture cards, but for instant replays we want to slow it down without destroying framerate. Thus my request is to add 120FPS mode so you can use Datapath Vision capture cards and bring in a camera like the A7S II or a PC DVI input. 120FPS also works over RTMP, so a way cheaper way of getting 120FPS PC input is going OBS (Also supports 120FPS, but no Instant Replays afaik), to FMS and opening 120FPS RTMP in vMix and adding it to instant replays Cheers, Håvard

BUT, apparently the HDMI and SDI protocols of the majority of cameras or other sources do not output 100 or 120fps signal :( 3G-SDI is limited to 60fps, and higher bandwidth SDI interfaces are pretty expensive, even with a single port.

+1, the Yuan SC560N1 M2 HDMI also supports 100/120 fps from hdmi. Would be interesting for instant replay.

I would like the 120 FPS as well but the bigger problem is that I only have one camera that can do that and all 4 angles have to be the same.

You can try this "tricks" - Start a new project, select 1080p 60 fps, exit vMix
Backup your user.config in the folder : \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\StudioCoast_Pty_Ltd\vMix64.exe_Url_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\22.0.0.60
- Edit user.config with notepad++
- Search for the value "166666" and replace by "83333"
- You can also search for "Framerate" and replace all fps value by "83333" (probably cause bug with external device etc...)
- Save the config file
Now vMix will be @ 120 fps I notice the FPS value is translate to some numbers, like 60 fps = 166666, so I just divided by 2 to obtain 120 fps = 83333 voila ! Don't edit settings or you have to edit again and restart vMix. I know it's a dirty solution and it's maybe not safe to use on a real production.

More and more affordable cams are supporting 120 fps out on their hdmi output. For example the zcam e2 does it, for only 2000$.
Magewell and many other brands now support 120 fps. I think the time has come to support it in vMix as well :)

Hi all,
We have been researching this and discovered that all cameras that support 120fps do not output that over HDMI, they only allow recording
it internally. This includes the Z Cam (which we have tested) and DSLRs such as the a7s.
If there is a camera someone has definitely confirmed outputs 120fps (as confirmed by plugging into a 120hz capable monitor
and noting the detected frame rate) please let us know.
Otherwise, the only application we can see for this is game capture at the moment.

Well, I was wondering if cheap slowmo system was possible without using "fake" slowmotion generated from 50/60 fps camera. That's could be a little bit better, without going to high-end broadcast LSM system.
I know that with higher resolution (4k) and better processor to handle it, camera could sustain better framerate in 1080/720 but it's true that it's not something very common actually on live output.
At least, I found one camera : Marshall CV506-H12 - annouced Miniature High-Speed Camera - with 120/100 fps on his HDMI output (thanks 2.0). Maybe that's a beginning
Not a huge fan using HDMI for this, and NDI could be better.
So maybe something like this could be the next cheap slowmo system : camera with HDMI 120/100 output (Marshall CV506-H12) >> NDI Converter (120/100fps support in Full NDI/ if protocol control available for camera=profit) >> Instant Replay (120/100 fps support)

vMix Hi Martin, I just posted another Feature Request regarding using SRT as input for Instant Replay. That goes hand in hand with the Super Slow Motion feature request. Since my "day job" is related to machine vision, I have access to all kinds of different camera sensors. Many of which support 720p120 output. I am currently validating the streaming capabilities of my encoder which reads that 720p120 signal from the sensor and creates SRT Listener. vMix can add it as input over the internet or over the LAN/WiFi. In the LAN environment latency from the camera to the vMix being about 150ms (capture delay itself on the encoder is only about 4 frames, which is ~30ms at 120fps), it can be used easily for Super Slow Motion footage.

Howdy.
I know this thread is old, but something I saw in vMix 24 made me think it was now 120fps capable. If so, has anyone tried it for slo-mo with great reliability at 120fps? Please, if so, which cameras are you using?
