I have been using 2 Logitech C920's with vMix 22 for the last year without any issues. I recently upgraded to vMix 23 and both cameras have a video glitch at least every 5-10 seconds.

I do not have the Logitech drivers installed. I'm using the generic windows drivers.
The cameras worked fine before with the default encoder (which I assume is MJPEG) and 1920x1080 fps.

I even tried uninstalling vMix 23 and going back to vMix 22 but this time had the same results.

Just for the hell of it I installed OBS Studio and had both cameras running 1920x180 30fps MJPEG with no issues.

I would much rather use vMix since I paid $350 for it last year instead of using OBS Studio to do what I want to do.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get better performance from the C920's?

You can manually set the cameras to MJPG when you first add them. Simply click the Video Format drop down menu and select MJPG.

Ok here is what I've done so far. I'm giving up on using the 2 webcams and I'm down to 1. Using the generic Windows driver. I've plugged and unplugged the camera into every USB port on my tower. I've deleted and reinserted the camera manually selecting MJPEG. Same issue. It is so glitchy it is unusable. The camera by itself works with every piece of software I tried it with except for vMix, so I have to believe that it an issue with vMix.

I had something similair. I use the C930e and the c920. I installed the logittech drivers and made sure it was plugged into the USB 2.0, and that solved my issue. When I tired plugging in to USB 3.0, the issues returned.

I hope that helps in someway.
