Hello.I have been test driving the free version of vMix and I am very impressed, but before I go for the HD version I need to know if it is possible to capture audio from my mixer? I am using 2 Saffire Pro 40 audio devices and I have them assigned to default in Windows(at least I think I do) and I want to capture vid from my laptop to my desktop using "Desktop Capture" and I want to narrate over the video using a mic and some other audio sources (patched in to a mixer)and going in to the vMix session. The only audio option I have besides the Direct Sound option is called Saffire Mic. When I select this input, I do not get any audio in vMix. Are there any advanced users who might be able to lend a hand?
Thanks,
vidkid

I think it is related to the WDM audio vs ASIO in your Focusrite. I have the Scarlett 18i20, which is roughly the same as yours, except on USB instead of Firewire, I'll try to check it soon.

What model mixer are you using?
I typically just run Stereo RCA out of the desk to 3.5mm stereo line in on the soundcard/motherboard. Never had a problem with quality.
Have you ensured your windows mixer is set to record from your line in?

it is not a "mixer", but a pair of Firewire audio interfaces
