Video OnCompletion Not Triggering

I have a video i am using as a layer on a virtual stage. The virtual stage is visible on Overlay3. I have the video set to Overlay3Out OnCompletion. However, when the video ends, the virtual stage on Overlay 3 remains. What am I doing wrong? Why isn't OnCompletion triggering whatever is on Overlay3 to go out?

Reading the help files could help ;-) Quote:Triggers and MultiView Overlays
Triggers will only be activated on the primary input. For example if Input A is setup with Input B and C as MultiView Overlays, only the Input A trigger will be used.
The exception to this is OnCountdownCompleted which will trigger regardless.

And so THIS is a terrible feature and should be fixed. This software ain't cheap. I expect better.

In all fairness, "limitations" like this that can prevent otherwise unwanted consequences or automated loops during a LIVE production are what make vMix better...
(There is more to consider here than just your current wants or needs, allowing Overlays to Trigger events can have serious repercussions in other situations)
There are ways to accomplish your objectives, as doggy points out, by using an "OnCountdownCompleted" Trigger function with a timer which can be set up for your particular situation.
It is a little more complex to set it up, but it is possible and as such, will likely only affect the Input and effect you want to achieve without compromising any other situations in your production.

Quote: as doggy points out, by using an "OnCountdownCompleted" Trigger function In al fairness Ice , my quote came strait form the help files ;-) ( so a feature , not a bug) On the other hand , if this "option" is really important it can easily be done with a little scripting if you have the "less cheap" license by poling for the state="Completed" of the input within the API XML data
