System: Dell Alienware Area 51m Laptop windows10 pro 1809 build 17763.805 64Bit i9-9900k cpu@3.60GHZ Ram 32GB
Sonnet Echo Express SE1 thunderbolt 3 Blackmagic Duo 2
VMix Version 22.0.0.69 Desktop Video Version 11.4.1 Thunderbolt Controller 15d9 16.3.61.2
We have a problem with our VMix installation using the Decklink Duo as Video Output. When using the Decklink Duo as the external output via SDI, audio and video run asynchronous, and the audio gets distorted after a few minutes of playback. The card seems to be working fine when all SDI inputs are connected with a valid signal, and activated in VMix. When we don't use all connector of the Card the Problem occurs.
We reinstalled vmix and desktop video with the latest drivers, the thunderbolt driver is according to sonnet's data sheet. Using a black burst refenrence on the card could not solve the issue.
We tried the all 4 outputs and the problem stayed the same. We are runnig out of ideas what else to try.
Is anymone using a similar setup successfully? Are we missing someting?

I have a system with similar setup. Duo2 is in an Akitio enclosure and everything works fine with no audio distortion on the external no matter what the config. Check your master audio device is set correctly and not to the Blackmagic audio or any other source like monitor audio. Personally I have no faith in Dell Alienware devices.

Solution found: We contacted Dell Support and after many calls they changed the motherboard of our Alienware. Now it works. Thank you for your Support.
