Would it be possible not to limit the number of SDI outputs but allow user to determine the outputs based on the cards used.
Example It would be great to be able to assign 4/6/8 SDI outputs using the DMD Duo 2 or Quad 2.
Also allow vMix inputs to be associated to any of the SDI outputs.

Why is this required?

Imagine a major news broadcast scenario where all 8 vMix calls are used and mixed independently - resized, positioned etc using the broadcaster's existing system which accepts just studio grade SDI.

+1 First just combine output NDI 2,3,and 4 with new SDI outputs... And the possibility to change source in these outputs (cleanSwitch) like we can do manually in output 2,3,4.

Yes, 4 outputs is now required on vMix now that SRT is here.

An example: I am a fan of doing remote productions as it's so hard to setup so much equipment onsite.

Camera operators could walk in with an intel nuc with 4 SDI inputs. Stream that back to the studio via SRT.

Then the vMix machine at the studio will covert the 4 SRT streams to 4 SDI outputs for the vision mixer.

or at least allow 4 "full screen" outputs which i've heard has lower latency.

Heck, just give the 4K and PRO versions;
- 4 full screen outputs
- 4 SDI outputs

Done!
